| Throughout my career
in the oilfield (20 years now with a Major that shall remain unnamed at
this time). I have had a close association with sucker rod pumping
equipment. I found the mechanical aspects of artificial lift intriguing
and have studied every aspect of the sucker rod pumping chain from a field
perspective.
I have observed, assisted and finally designed pumping systems for a variety of well types in the Permian and Delaware Basins. I have collected information and designs for pumping units, rod strings, pumps and downhole assemblies. I have used and abused a variety of pump off control devices. I believe that for the oil industry to become more environmentally competent it must learn the basic techniques of energy and equipment savings, optimize production, and reduce the number of small spills. (i.e. stuffing box leaks) To that end I offer the knowledge I have gained in my 20 years of experience in the hope that someone somewhere can pick up something useful. I also offer contacts with supporting businesses that have been helpful to me in the past. As this site is developed it will take the user through an ever expanding knowledge base. As I learn more about web publishing I will try to make available useful FREE software, pictures, diagrams, and links to various suppliers. Maybe even a news and or forum could be added or if you know of one send me the URL and I'd be happy to join. If you are interested in this type of information make plans to visit often.
