Prayer"
Father,
Sometimes, I wonder what life is all
about,
With hope ~ not doubt.
For, I pray to please, not displease,
you.
I never want your Spirit to leave.
Thank you for teaching
me
(Yes, Lord) how to believe.
But, I wonder, what I should do.
I
wonder, if my dreams will come true.
I wonder, if I will have great
success
Or should I settle, Lord, just for less?
No, I want
more,
By your grace, that is in store.
For, you are Almighty and
Great.
Expecting these blessings,
I just sense I must wait
~
Praying, Father,
It will not be too late.
Lord, to be content and
filled with joy,
Not careless or throw my life away ~
Some do it,
everyday,
As if life was a toy.
Perhaps that was me
Before I could
see.
I had been there ~
Only now, to nurture and care,
And my
blessings share.
Though, it seems, Lord,
I can only handle what I
bear.
Lord, I dream for the impossible
To find my way,
Even now, as
I pray.
For, Lord, you are capable.
With you, all things are
possible.
Nothing is too hard for you.
Oh, Lord, I pray, "Please
Show me what to
do."
I dream to be the best I can.
With your wisdom, I can
understand.
Give me direction, with discretion.
Let me see your
plan.
Let me heed the call,
Not ever wanting to fall;
To be
obedient,
When your word has been sent.
Let this, I pray, each
day,
Please you in every way.
Then, I know, what ever I
do,
You will show me how to
make my dreams come true.
For, you are
the author
and the finisher of my faith;
As you, my Lord, in your word
saith.
And, as the blessings come true,
Let this be my story
~
Giving you all the glory.

Looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down
at the right hand of the throne of God.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the knowledge of him:

For the LORD God is a sun and shield:
the LORD will give grace and
glory: no good thing
will he withhold from them that walk
uprightly.
Father, our Lord, who we behold, for you are
Almighty God, King of Kings; the heavens declare your glory, and the earth
sings of all the good and mighty things you do. How
can we not search for you, for your guidance?
Yet, there are those who do not know the wonderful
gifts you have placed in their lives. So, they do not look to you.
They
take it for granted that they will have the wisdom, or the talent, to do it on
their own.
Why is it, Lord, that, through my failures, I know
how great you are? I know, without you, I am nothing. I can do
nothing and I am as a broken branch, if you are not with me and in me in all
things.
So, Father, I pray for each one of us to be guided
by you. I pray, we would sense and know, how wonderful you are ... how, by
you, we are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us. And
in doing so, may we give you all the
glory and recognize, it is you who has
placed these gifts and callings, these wonderful desires in our life.
For, yes, we are created by you. You are the author, and the finisher of
our faith.
So, Father, we ask for your guidance to fulfill our
lives ... and with thanks. Glory to you, my Lord.
